Little Giants Produce Career-Best Times At Louisville

Brayden Curnutt posted a top-35 finish to lead the Wabash cross country team to an 18th-place finish at Saturday's Louisville Cross Country Classic.
 
Curnutt turned in the top effort for the Little Giants in their second race of the season, finishing the 8,000-meter loop in a career-best time of 26:15.2. Joe Barnett scored a 62nd-place finish with a time of 26:38.7, a minute improvement over his previous career-best mark. Will Neubauer crossed the finish line in 140th place at 27:35.8. Thomas Gaines completed the race in a career-best time of 27:39.5 to capture 146th place in the field of 412 runners. Justin Santiago completed the scoring for the Little Giants by finishing 150th with a time of 27:40.7, his best career effort in two seasons of competition.
 
Wabash tallied a total of 518 points among a field primarily consisting of NCAA Division II and III schools, along with NAIA programs. Lawrence Tech won the event with a score of 116 points, followed by Marian University of Indianapolis with a score of 178.
