Bigler Named All-Region By USTFCCCA

Wabash College senior Max Bigler earned 2022 NCAA Division III All-Great Lakes Region honors from the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for his performance throughout the 2022 season.

Bigler was honored both as a competitor in the high jump and the heptathlon. The USTFCCCA recognizes the top-five individuals in each event from each region as well as individuals from the top-three relay teams.

Bigler ranked second in the Great Lakes Region in the heptathlon after scoring a total of 4,338 points to win the 2022 North Coast Athletic Conference men's heptathlon title. He also ranked fifth in the Great Lakes region after clearing 1.98 meters (6 feet, 6 inches) in the high jump at the NCAC Championships to win that event. Bigler's efforts earned him the NCAC Men's Field Athlete of the Year Award and helped Wabash capture its eighth NCAC indoor men's championships and 16th indoor and outdoor title overall.
