The Wabash College track and field team captured its ninth North Coast Athletic Conference outdoor track and field championship and its 17
th NCAC title overall by winning the 2022 outdoor title Friday afternoon at Oberlin College. The Little Giants won both the outdoor and indoor titles for the seventh time since joining the NCAC for the 2000 season.

Wabash finished with a total of 171 points to easily outdistance second-place Denison with 132.5 points. Wittenberg claimed third place with a total of 107 points. Oberlin (88 points), DePauw (83), Allegheny (76), Wooster (69.5), Ohio Wesleyan (58), and Kenyon (34) completed the team scoring.

The Little Giants claimed the NCAC crown for the third consecutive season. Wabash won the 2021 outdoor title along with the 2019 championship. The 2020 championship was canceled due to COVID. Wabash claimed both indoor and outdoor track and field titles in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2019 before winning both the indoor and outdoor titles in 2022.

Wabash claimed three individual championships and posted 17Â All-NCAC performances over the entire championship event to claim its ninth league title.

Max Bigler matched his career high and remains tied for the 19
th-best mark among Division III high jumpers with his conference-winning effort on Friday. Bigler won the conference title by clearing 2.00 meters (6 feet, 6.75 inches) to also earn All-NCAC honors.
Jake Oostman claimed second place by turning in a career-best effort with a height of 1.95 meters (6 feet, 6.75 inches) to also earn a place on the all-conference team.
Stuart Anker turned in a career-best performance by clearing 1.80 (5 feet, 10.75 inches) meters to tie for seventh place.

Bigler picked up all-conference honors with a third-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles, touring the oval in 56.11.
Giovonni Zappala finished the race in 57.48 to claim sixth place. Warbington added an eighth-place finish with a time of 1:02.05.

Reis Thomas won the discus throw to also earn All-NCAC honors. The junior won the event with a top throw of 46.30 meters (151 feet, 11 inches) to top the rest of the field by nearly three feet.

Jose Franco,
Tyler Walls, and
Nathan France closed out the meet for the Little Giants by winning the 4x400-meter relay with a season-best time of 3:21.72 to pick up All-NCAC honors.

Leo Warbington took second place in the 110-meter hurdles. He raced to the finish line in 15.39 to earn all-conference honors.
Takeshi Greiner scored a fifth-place finish with a time of 16.24. Zappala finished the race in 16.32 to finish sixth overall. Bigler added a seventh-place finish with a time of 16.35.

Franco snared more all-conference honors with his third-place finish in the 400-meter dash. The senior placed third with a time of 49.87. Aleman took fifth place by finishing in a season-best time of 50.52. Walls scored a sixth-place finish by crossing the line with his career-best effort of 50.62.
Howie Steele added a seventh-place finish with a time of 51.77.

Franco added a third All-NCAC award with a third-place finish in the 200-meter dash. He finished the race in 21.96. Aleman placed fifth overall by finishing in 22.50.

Kamron Ferguson scored all-conference honors with a third-place finish. He produced a top mark of 12.90 meters (42 feet, 4 inches) on his final attempt.
Gianni Minor added three points to the Wabash team score with a sixth-place finish in the triple jump. He posted a mark of 12.20 meters (40 feet, 0.50 inches) on his first attempt.

Brayden Curnutt ran a career-best time of 15:18.28 to claim all-conference honors with a third-place finish in the 5,000-meter run.
Keith Abramson scored an all-conference finish in the 800-meter run, finishing with a time of 1:57.63.

Seth Acero added five points to the Little Giants' team score with a fourth-place finish in the 100-meter dash, finishing with a time of 11.11.
Ethan Pine captured fifth place in the 1500-meter run by finishing in 4:01.54.
