Rising senior Reis Thomas was named a 2022 NCAA Division III Men's All-Academic Athlete by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, announced earlier in July by the organization. The USTFCCCA also recognized the Wabash College squad as a 2022 All-Academic Team for its performance in the classroom.
 
Thomas, a Spanish major with a 3.667 cumulative GPA, ranked 29^th among NCAA Division III competitors in the men's discus throw with a top mark of 49.45 meters (162 feet, 3 inches) during the 2022 outdoor season.
 
The Wabash team received USTFCCCA All-Academic Team recognition after posting a 3.11 cumulative team grade point average.
 
Student-athletes must complete the season with a minimum 3.30 cumulative grade point average. Honorees must also finish the season ranked in the top-50 in individual track and field events for either the indoor or outdoor seasons, or compete as a member of a top-35-ranked relay team.
 
Teams must achieve at least a 3.10 cumulative grade point average for all student-athletes who used a season of eligibility for the 2021-2022 indoor and outdoor track and field seasons to receive All-Academic Team honors.
