The Wabash cross country team opened its season Saturday at the John McNichols Invitational hosted by Indiana University at the LaVern Gibson Cross Country Course in Terre Haute, Indiana. The Little Giants competed against NCAA Division I, II, and III teams, finishing 15th overall and second among Division III squads.

Brayden Curnutt turned in the top time for Wabash, finishing in 91st place with a time of 27:25.
Joe Barnett placed 93 by finishing in 27.33.
Will Neubauer completed the race in 28:04 to take 99th place in the field of 237 runners.
Thomas Gaines scored a 102nd-place finish with a time of 28:11.
Justin Santiago was the final scorer for the Wabash team, finishing the 8,000-meter race in 28:33 for 104th place.

Aidan Makled placed 116th with a time of 30:02, while
Matthew Meyer took 121st place with a time of 30:44.
Thomas Price finished the race in 31:12.

Wabash scored 489 points, trailing Rose-Hulman by one point with a score of 488 for the top spot among NCAA Division III squads. The University of Illinois won the team competition with a score of 51 points.
