The Wabash College track and field team competed at the Illinois Wesleyan University Titan Open Saturday afternoon. The Little Giants turned in two individual victories and 16 top-five finishes to finish in first place out of 15 teams competing at the event.

Haiden Diemer-McKinney and
Will Neubauer finished 1-2 in the 800-meter run. Diemer-McKinney won the event with his best time of the season on a 200-meter track by finishing in 1:54.03. Neubauer finished the race in second place with a time of 1:57.92.

Brayden Curnutt added an individual victory in the 3,000-meter run, finishing in 8:50.42.
Joe Barnett scored a fourth-place finish with a career-best time of 8:55.71.

Quinn Sholar turned in a pair of second-place finishes in the throws. The freshman turned in a career-best mark of 16.28 meters (53 feet, 5 inches) to finish second in the weight throw.
Brandon English scored a sixth-place finish with a career-best throw of 14.09 meters (46 feet, 2.75 inches). Sholar added a second-place finish in the shot put with a top distance of 15.69 meters (51 feet, 5.75 inches). English finished in fifth place with a toss of 13.93 meters (45 feet, 8.5 inches).
John Schnerre finished in sixth place with his career-best effort of 13.31 meters (43 feet, 8 inches).
Reis Thomas placed seventh with a  mark of 12.87 meters (42 feet, 2.75 inches).

Kannon Chase tied for second place in the high jump. Both Little Giants cleared 1.85 meters (6 feet, 0.75 inches). That height is the best of Chase's career.
Stuart Anker topped out at 1.75 meters (5 feet, 8.75 inches) to finish in fourth place.

Sly Williams produced a second-place finish in the long jump with a career-best leap of 6.59 meters (21 feet, 7.5 inches).
Nate Joven scored a third-place finish in the pole vault by clearing a career-best height of 4.05 meters (13 feet, 3.5 inches).

Will Newby placed third in the 60-meter dash finals, crossing the finish line in 6.97 after qualifying with a time of 6.98 in his earlier heat.
Julius Hearns finished sixth in the finals with a time of 7.12.
Sly Williams captured seventh place with a time of 7.24.

TK Walls finished in fourth place in the 400-meter dash, completing the race in 51.90.
Howie Steele added a fifth-place finish with a time of 52.14.

Giovonni Zappala was the top finisher among a trio of Little Giant runners in the 60-meter hurdles. Zappala finished fifth in the finals with a time of 8.85.
Josh Massaquoi finished in seventh place, crossing the line in 8.99.
Takeshi Greiner finished in 9.03 to earn eighth place.

Wabash edged out host Illinois Wesleyan by one point in the team scoring. The Little Giants finished with 98 points, while IWU scored 97 points. Maryville (Missouri) finished in third place with 45 points.
