Wabash produced 25 top-five finishes and tied a school record as part of its winning effort at Saturday's Huntsman Family Track and Field Invitational held at Little Giant Stadium and Mud Hollow Field.

The Little Giants won six events, but it was a second-place finish in the 4x100-meter relay that matched a school record at the meet. The quartet of
Sly Williams,
Julius Hearns,
Seth Acero, and
Will Newby finished the race in 41.80 to take second and tie the school mark of 41.80 set in 1969.

Newby scored one of the Little Giants' first-place finishes, winning the 100-meter dash with a season-best time of 10.78.
Julius Hearns raced to third place with his season-best time of 10.99. Hearns scored a second-place finish by posting a career-best time of 22.57 in the 200-meter dash.

TK Walls added an individual victory in the 400-meter dash by winning the race with a career-best time of  50.59.
Howie Steele finished in second place by crossing the line in 50.97.
Haiden Diemer-McKinney and
Will Neubauer finished 1-2 in the 800-meter run. Diemer-McKinney won the race by finishing in an outdoor-best time of 1:52.55. Neubauer crossed the finish line in 1:53.36 to take second place.

Thomas Gaines won the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a top time of 9:54.45. The Wabash foursome of Steele, Diemer-McKinney, Walls, and
Nathan France posted the final victory in the running events with a win in the 4x400-meter relay. They combined for a winning time of 3:20.95.

Quinn Sholar won the shot put with his top effort of 14.60 meters (47 feet, 11 inches).
Brandon English placed second overall with a season-best mark of 14.50 meters (47 feet, 7 inches). Sholar also scored a second-place finish in the hammer throw with a season-best mark of 45.44 meters (149 feet, 1 inch).
Evan Furuness added a fifth-place finish with his season-best throw of 40.22 meters (131 feet, 11 inches).

Reis Thomas finished second in the discus with a top throw of 47.05 meters (154 feet, 4 inches). Sholar placed third with a throw of 45.56 meters (149 feet, 6 inches).

Jake Oostman placed second in the high jump by clearing 1.85 meters (6 feet, 0.75 inches).
Kannon Chase topped out at 1.80 meters (5 feet, 10.75 inches) to finish in fourth place.
Stuart Anker added a fifth-place finish by clearing 1.75 meters (5 feet, 8.75 inches). Williams scored a third-place finish in the triple jump with a season-best leap of 12.71 meters (41 feet, 8.5 inches).

Ryan Papandria picked up second place in the javelin throw with a season-best toss of 49.92 meters (163 feet, 9 inches).

Brayden Curnutt placed third in the 5,000-meter run by finishing in 15:06.47.
Joe Barnett added a fourth-place finish with a career-best time of 15:20.49.
Takeshi Greiner finished the 110-meter hurdles in a career-best 15.73 to capture third place.
Giovonni Zappala added a third-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles by touring the oval in 59.07.

Wabash scored 222.5 points to outdistance the remaining seven teams competing at the meet for the victory. DePauw placed second with 139.5 points. Illinois Wesleyan finished third with 138 points, followed by Rose-Hulman (71 points), the Illinois Track Club (60 points), Hanover (56 points), Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (36 points), and Anderson University (13 points).
