The Wabash College cross country team traveled to Rock Island, Illinois, to compete at the Augustana Interregional Invitational two weeks from the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships. The Redpack finished 29th out of 40 teams with 781 points.

Wabash finished ahead of Grinnell College in 30th (850 points) and Southwestern University of Texax in 31st (890 points) but were two spots behind conference foe DePauw University in 27th (733 points). Wartburg College won the meet with 41 points and is ranked second in the nation.

The Little Giants claimed three top-200 finishes led by
Brayden Curnutt. The senior made his presence known on the national stage, finishing 26th place overall out of a field of 436 competitors with a time of 24:52.30, breaking the 25-minute barrier for the first time this season. Senior
Jacob Sitzman set a new lifetime best, crossing the line in 26:13.5 to secure 149th overall. Junior
Haiden Diemer-McKinney placed 184th with a mark of 26:33.10.

Will Neubauer earned 286th place with an effort of 27:21.20, while sophomore
David Adesanya ran a new personal best time of 27:57.30 to score a 344th place finish and go under the 28-minute barrier for the first time in his career. Freshman
Johnathan Loney produced a 350th-place finish in an effort of 28:02.30. Freshman
Alex Orihuela rounded out the top seven spots for the Little Giants, crossing the line in 28:20.50 to claim 362nd overall.

The Redpack's biggest test of the season will take place in Terre Haute, Indiana, on Sunday, November 3rd, at the 2024 North Coast Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships.
