Wabash captured two individual titles on Friday's first day of the 2024 Gail Moll Pebworth Invitational. The Little Giants enter Saturday's second round in third place out of eight teams competing at the Crawfordsville High School Aquatics Center.

Quinn Sweeney won the 500-yard freestyle on Friday by posting a top time of 4:39.58 in the evening "A" final. Teammate
Mason Gilliam captured third place by finishing in 4:40.70.
Xander Straw finished tenth in the "A" final with a time of 4:52.62.
William Renie scored a 14th-place finish with his time of 4:54.47 in the "B" final.
Dane Market added an 18th-place finish at 5:01.18.
Nicholas Sommers placed 19th with a time of 5:06.09.

Freshman
Ryan West won the 200-yard individual medley Friday evening, touching the wall in the "A" final in 1:53.99.
Nicholas Plumb placed sixth in the "A" final with a time of 1:58.69.
Barret Smith scored an 18th-place finish in the "B" final with a time of 2:02.14.
Cooper Kowalski placed 30th in the "C" final by finishing in 2:07.25.

The quartet of
Ethan Johns,
Daniel Streeter,
Brody Page, and
Connor Craig grabbed third place in the 200-yard freestyle relay to kick off the Friday finals round. The foursome turned in a time of 1:25.43. Johns also scored a sixth-place finish in the "A" final of the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 21.38. Craig tied for 12th place in the "B" final with a time of 21.65, finishing just ahead of Page in 14th place with a time of 21.71. Streeter won the "C" final to place 21st overall with his time of 22.21.
Nicolas Hakimian finished 25th with a time of 22.42.
Brock Schall was 26th (22.63), and
John Allen finished 27th (22.75).

Wabash finished day one with 211.5 points, trailing co-leaders DePauw University and Ohio University with 251 points apiece. Franklin College sits in fourth place after the first day with 123 points.
