Wabash College senior
Ahmoni Jones earned a place on the 2024 D3hoops.com All-Region 7 Men's Basketball Third Team, announced Tuesday.
Jones was a repeat selection for First Team All-North Coast Athletic Conference honors in 2024. The senior forward led Wabash to its third NCAA DIII Men's Basketball Tournament appearance as NCAC Tournament champions for the third straight season. Jones was named the NCAC Men's Basketball Tournament MVP for the second consecutive year and helped Wabash earn the regular season conference title with a 13-3 record in NCAC games. The Little Giants finished the regular season and conference tournament with a 12-game winning streak to claim the regular season crow for the second time in three seasons and a third consecutive conference championship.
Jones averaged 14.5 points and 6.3 rebounds a game for the season and finished with a 13.3 and 6.2 rebounds-per-game average in conference contests. He led the conference and ranked 55
th in the nation in three-point baskets with 68. He also led the NCAC in three-pointers per game, averaging 2.43 a contest. Jones averaged 14.5 points and 6.3 rebounds a contest. Jones scored a season-best 26 points against Anderson University and grabbed a season-high ten rebounds in a critical conference victory at Denison.
Jones finished his career with 1,525 points to score eighth in Wabash basketball history. His 182 career three-point baskets rank fourth in program history, while he finished fifth in career rebounds with 684.
