Will Neubauer posted the eighth-quickest time in the preliminary heats of the 800-meter run on Friday at the 2025 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships to earn a place in Saturday's finals. Fellow senior
Brayden Curnutt competed in the men's 5,000-meter run and finished in 15th place.
Neubauer competed in what proved to be the fastest of the three qualifying heats. He placed fourth in his heat with a time of 1:52.03. Lynchburg's Tor Hotung-Davidson turned the fastest time of the day at 1:51.40. Dubuque's Andrew Hutchison placed second in the heat and ran the fourth-quickest time overall at 1:51.56. The top two finishers in the second and third heats also qualified for Saturday's finals, as did the top two remaining times. Trevor Richwine from Dickinson finished third in the opening heat with a time of 1:51.88 to earn one of the two remaining spots in the finals field.
The men's 800-meter run final starts at 4:50 p.m. on Saturday at the Golisano Training Center in Rochester, New York.
Curnutt competed in the finals of the 5,000-meter run on Friday after qualifying with the 19th-best time in Division III this season. He improved by four spots, finishing 15th in the field of 20 runners with a time of 14:34.46 to earn Second Team All-America honors.
