Wabash College junior post player Gavin Schippert has been named to the 2024-2025 Academic All-District NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators.
 
Schippert, a financial economics major, started 20 games in 21 appearances for Wabash this season. He averaged 7.3 points and 4.9 rebounds a contest for the Little Giants. Schippert shot 50.9 percent from the field, making 54 of 106 field goal attempts. He connected on 24 of 65 three-point tries for 36.9 percent.
 
Schippert scored a career-high 20 points in a win against DePauw on January 29 and recorded a double-double with 13 points and a career-high 10 rebounds at Ohio Wesleyan in January.
 
Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade points average to be nominated for the Academic All-District Team. Men's and women's basketball players must also compete in at least 90 percent of the program's games played or start in at least 65 percent of the total games played.
