DeBello, Sholar Earns First Team All-America Honors at NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Freshman Brock DeBello earned First Team All-America honors with a sixth-place finish in the 400-meter dash final, while senior Quinn Sholar secured Second Team All-America recognition in the shot put and Sly Williams competed in the triple jump Saturday as Wabash College concluded competition at the 2026 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Birmingham CrossPlex.

DeBello placed sixth among eight finalists in the 400-meter dash with a time of 47.87 seconds. The freshman ran in the second of two heats and finished third in his heat after posting a 22.92-second opening 200 meters before closing in 24.95 seconds.

Collin Conzemius of Wisconsin–La Crosse won the national title with a time of 46.76 seconds. Grant Nelson of Bethel (Minnesota) finished second in 47.20, while Cameron Elliott of Wittenberg placed third in 47.52.

Sholar turned in a strong performance in the shot put, finishing 13th overall in the 20-man field with a top throw of 16.29 meters (53 feet, 5.5 inches) during the second of two preliminary flights to earn Second Team All-America honors.

The senior opened the competition with a toss of 16.06 meters (52 feet, 8.25 inches) before improving his mark on his second attempt to reach 16.29 meters. Sholar fouled on his third throw and did not advance to the nine-athlete final round.



Williams represented Wabash in the triple jump. Competing in the first of two flights, the senior recorded a best mark of 13.66 meters (44 feet, 9.75 inches) on his third and final attempt to finish 19th overall. Williams opened the competition with a jump of 13.42 meters (44 feet, 0.5 inches) before fouling on his second attempt. He improved on his final jump but did not reach the distance required to advance to the nine-athlete final.
