Wabash College freshman Brock DeBello and senior Haiden Diemer-McKinney were recognized by the North Coast Athletic Conference for their performances at Saturday's MoJoe Invitational, earning weekly honors for the Little Giants' indoor track and field program. DeBello was named the NCAC Men's Indoor Track and Field Sprints/Hurdles Athlete of the Week, while Diemer-McKinney earned Men's Indoor Track and Field Mid-Distance/Distance Athlete of the Week accolades following standout efforts that helped Wabash capture the team title at the meet hosted by Mount St. Joseph University.
Diemer-McKinney led the way in the distance events by winning the mile run with a time of 4:20.31, crossing the line two seconds ahead of the runner-up. His converted time of 4:17.03 ranks as the fastest mile among NCAC competitors this season. The senior's victory provided key points as Wabash topped the five-team men's field.
DeBello delivered a pair of winning performances in the sprints. The freshman claimed his first collegiate victory in the 200-meter dash, posting a winning time of 23.12. He also ran the second leg on Wabash's first-place 4x200-meter relay team, which finished with a time of 1:33.38.
