Harvey played football and baseball at Wabash where he left his mark on both teams. A three-year football letterman, Harvey led the team to a 21-12 record in his tenure, setting 10 Wabash records along the way. In 1977, Harvey co-captained the football team to an 11-2 record and the NCAA Division III Championship where time ran out on the Little Giants in a 39-36 loss to Widener in the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl. Harvey was the team's Most Valuable Player that year and was selected to the Associated Press and Kodak All-American teams. Harvey lettered four times in baseball and was a team captain both his junior and senior season. The 1977 baseball Most Valuable Player, Harvey is remembered as one of the Little Giant's finest shortstops ever. Upon graduation, Harvey played semi-professional baseball with the Chicago Hornets and is now an avid golfer.
