Wabash College Athletics Hall of Fame
A product of Indianapolis ShorÂtridge High School, Hollett came to Wabash in 1932. A history major, he lettered three times in basketball and four in golf. Hollett captained the golf squad and helped inact a budget for the golf team to cover greens fees. Hollett left Wabash for Harvard Law School and later served in the U.S. Navy, earning a Bronze Star for action in the South Pacific. Since his graduation, Hollett has done even more for Wabash than as a student/athlete. He served loyally as a member and President of the Wabash Board of Trustees and Class Agent. An avid Wabash athletic booster, Hollett has helped develop and enrich the athletics program in numerous ways. His enthusiasm for Wabash sports has caught on, and his wife, Fran, is also an enormous Little Giant fan. She is the only woman ever to have been named an honorary alumna of the college by the National AssociaÂtion of Wabash Men.
