Glenn L. Pride, your arrival at Wabash in 1959 came at a time when Wabash’s track and field program was among the nation’s finest, and you would establish yourself as the most outstanding hurdler of your era. You earned four varsity letters for Coach J. Owen Huntsman, helped win four straight Little State championships, and set school records in both the 220-yard low hurdles and 330-yard intermediate hurdles, the latter also a Little State record.

As a senior, you were named the Most Outstanding Athlete at the Wabash Relays. You helped set Wabash records in the mile relay and sprint medley relay. And you will be honored to know that your distance medley relay record stood more than four decades. You raced at nationals in 1963 and became an All-American in the 440-yard intermediate hurdles — joining your teammate and fellow Hall of Fame member George Brattain in winning All-America honors.

You were also a member of Delta Tau Delta, the Sphinx Club, and the W Men’s Club. In 1961 you earned a research fellowship from the National Institutes of Health. After graduating from Wabash, you attended the Indiana University School of Medicine, where you specialized in gynecologic oncology and earned a prestigious fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Your career as a gynecologic oncologist has taken you across the country, and you have taught and practiced in New York, Tennessee, Indiana, Illinois and Texas.

Glenn L. Pride, the National Association of Wabash Men salutes alumni whose accomplishments as collegians brought honor to alma mater, and therefore we are proud to induct you into the Wabash College Athletics Hall of Fame. Some Little Giant!
