Native of Fowler, Indiana and three-sport star at Benton Central High School near Lafayette, you arrived on the Wabash campus on the eve of the “Golden Age” of distance running in the fall of 1992. While your high school talents were impressive—17th in the state high school cross country meet and fourth in the mile run at the state track meet—few would have imagined how good you would become when teamed with your Hall of Fame classmates, Jeremy Wright and Roger Busch. Together the three of you put Wabash on the national cross country map and earned for your coach National Coach of the Year honors in 1995, capping an era in which Wabash placed in the top-six nationally three times.

You were a two-time cross country All-American, earning 15th place in 1994 and 16th in 1995. You were named First Team All-Great Lakes Region and First Team All-ICAC three times each in cross country, and in 1994, you were the ICAC champion, the ICAC Most Valuable Runner, and the Wabash MVP. You set a course record time in winning the 1995 GLCA Championship, and you set a record in winning the 1994 ICAC 1500 meters Championship.

After graduation, you took your English major and began to teach and coach at Harrison High School, where your team won a state championship. Along the way, you qualified for the 2000 Olympic Trials in the marathon, and have competed in world Mountain Running Championships. Today you are a teacher and coach at Sierra High School in Manitou Springs, Colorado, where you live with your bride, Sarah. For your versatile distance running talents as part of the “Three Amigos,” the National Association of Wabash Men is proud to induct you, Scott B. Gall, in the Wabash College Athletics Hall of Fame.
