Wabash College Athletics

Weist played football, basketball, and baseball at Wabash, but after two seasons he dropped basketball to concentrate on the other two sports. He played halfback for the Little Giant football team and was a starting pitcher for the baseball team. A member of the Indiana Football Hall of Fame, Weist went back to coach at his old high school in Princeton, Indiana, in 1938 and later became principal there. He retired in 1973 after 35 years of service to the Princeton school system.
