Wabash College Athletics Hall of Fame
Jerry began his college career at Earlham but later joined his father and younger brother at Wabash. A quarterback on Wabash's undefeated football team of 1951, Jerry threw a school-record four touchdown passes to beat DePauw that season 41-12. The school record holder in the javelin for a number of years, Jerry followed his father's footsteps into the coaching ranks. He coached football at Covington, Crawfordsville, and Huntington high schools, Earlham College, and moved on to Indiana State University as an assistant, where he went on to serve as associate athletic director.
